Updated over a week ago

Quick Answer

✔️ You can send a document request in TrustLayer through multiple methods, including the document review page, parties drawer, document request page, and directly from a party’s profile.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Click the name of the party and from the overview page Send Request.

3️⃣ From the Party’s Profile Drawer:

  • Open the party’s profile drawer.

  • Click the paper airplane icon at the top to send a request.

4️⃣ From the Document Request Page:

  • Navigate to the document request page.

  • Select the party and document requirements.

  • Customize the email template and add any necessary attachments.

5️⃣ Confirm and Send:

  • Review the request details.

  • Click "Confirm and Send" to notify the recipient.

💡 Issue: The recipient hasn’t responded.

Solution: Ensure "Enable Document Reminders" is checked so automated follow-ups are sent.

💡 Issue: I need to customize the request message.

Solution: Modify the message on the document request page before sending, under customize email. Changes only apply to that request and do not update global templates.
