📌 Issue/Question:

How do I add a party to a project and send a request for compliance documents or information in TrustLayer?

1. Quick Answer

✔️ You can add a party to a project and send a request by clicking the "New Request" button within the project, selecting the party, assigning the appropriate compliance profile, and sending the request.

2. Step-by-Step Instructions

1️⃣ Step 1: Open the Project

Navigate to the Project section and select the desired project (e.g., "United States Concert Tour").

2️⃣ Step 2: Start a New Request

Click the "New Request" button in the project workspace.

3️⃣ Step 3: Enter Request Details

  • Name your request (e.g., "Insurance Information Request").

  • Select the party from the dropdown (e.g., "Fleetwood Mac").

  • Assign the appropriate compliance profile for the party’s scope of work in this project (e.g., upgrade from low risk to high risk if the work requires it).

4️⃣ Step 4: Add Additional Requests (Optional)

You can add multiple requests for the same party or additional parties if you need different document sets (e.g., a general compliance request and a separate onboarding packet for W-9s sent to a different contact).

5️⃣ Step 5: Create and Send the Request

Click "Create Requests" to send the request(s). All requests will now be visible in the project’s request list.

3. Troubleshooting & FAQs

💡 Common Issue 1:

Party or compliance profile not appearing in dropdowns.

Solution: Ensure the party exists in your TrustLayer system and that compliance profiles are configured under settings.

💡 Common Issue 2:

Need to assign a unique compliance profile for a party’s project role.

Solution: You can choose a different profile for a party on a per-project/request basis (e.g., change Fleetwood Mac from low risk to medium or high risk for this project).

💡 Common Issue 3:

Multiple requests needed for the same or different contacts.

Solution: You can create separate requests for different document types or for different contacts within the same party from the "New Request" screen.
