📌 Issue/Question:

How do I upload documents in TrustLayer, and what are the different ways to assign documents to parties or requests?

1. Quick Answer

✔️ You can upload documents in TrustLayer from the Documents section, directly within a party's documents tab, or through the document request portal.

2. Step-by-Step Instructions

1️⃣ Step 1: Uploading from the Documents Section

  • Navigate to the "Documents" tab on the left sidebar.

  • Click "New Document" and use the Browse function to select files from your computer and upload them.

2️⃣ Step 2: Uploading Directly to a Party

  • Go to the "Parties" section and select the desired party (e.g., "Fleetwood Mac").

  • Open the "Documents" tab and click "New Document."

  • Select and upload the file; it will be stored directly in that party’s document folder, with the party automatically assigned.

3️⃣ Step 3: Uploading via the Document Request Portal

  • When a party receives a document request email, they can use the link to access their document portal.

  • From the portal, the party can select and upload the requested documents directly.

4️⃣ Step 4: Bulk Uploading Documents

  • In the "Documents" section, you can bulk upload by selecting (shift+highlight) up to 60 documents and dragging and dropping them into the upload window.

5️⃣ Step 5: Viewing Uploaded Documents

  • After upload, documents will appear in the associated party's "Documents" tab (if uploaded via the party or portal) and in the main documents list.
