TrustLayer allows for an easier way to communicate data between applications by using a Webhooks connection. This connection allows online apps with Webhook functionality to receive data from TrustLayer by communicating with your chosen unique URL — sort of like sending a message to a phone number or address — whenever specific events occur within the platform. See below how to setup the connection and the current event trigger types.
Webhooks Setup
1 To start, you’ll need a unique Webhook URL from the receiving app
2 Navigate to the TrustLayer API settings section and click on the Webhooks tab
3 Click Create New Webhook, paste the Webhook URL provided by the receiving app into the payload field, select desired events, and then click Create Webhook
4 Ensure the on/off toggle next to your new Webhook is blue
5 You have successfully setup a Webhook!
TrustLayer Webhooks Triggers
Currently, the TrustLayer platform triggers a Webhook notification when certain events occur within the platform.
Party Specific Events
Party creation, updates, and deletion.
Whenever there is an update on the following fields on the “Edit page”: name, type, contact name, phone, email, address, website, additional notes. Activating/deactivating a party won’t fire a webhook for the time being.
Project Specific Events
Project creation, updates, and deletion.
When updating a project, the following fields change will fire a webhook call: Name, description, starting and ending date, custom fields, parties, compliance profiles, and attachments.
