How to Inactivate a Party
How to Inactivate a Party
Updated over a week ago

A Party, within the TrustLayer platform, refers to vendors, subcontractors, tenants, or any other third party. You create a Party in order to track compliance based on their insurance requirements and documentation. In most cases, these are entities you plan on doing repeat business with so you'll need to track their compliance year after year.

However, for cases where you only do business once or you no longer do business with, you can use the Make Inactive feature within TrustLayer. The feature makes it so that you can add a Party as you normally would, then inactivate that Party once you're no longer currently doing business with them. All inactive Parties are stored and easily visible in TrustLayer with the click of a button. If needed, you can even make active again a Party that was previously inactivated.

Inactivating a Party

1 Using the sidebar located on the left side of the screen, click Parties.

2 Locate the Party you'd like to inactivate by scrolling or typing in the search bar, then click on the 3 vertical dots.

3 Towards the bottom of the list of options that populate, find and select Make Inactive.

4 In the confirmation window that pops open, click OK to finalize the process.

Inactivating Parties in bulk

1 Using the sidebar located on the left side of the screen, click Parties.

2 Select the Parties you'd like to inactivate by clicking the check box next to each of the parties' names.

3 Once you've selected your Parties, you'll see 4 buttons appear directly above the Parties table. Click the Make Inactive button.

4 In the confirmation window that pops open, click OK to finalize this process.
