Using the Compliance Profile Page
Updated over a week ago

The Compliance Profiles page, located in the Settings (Sidebar), is where you can create profiles that consist of the requirements and limits that your COIs and other documents will be compared to for compliance in the TrustLayer system.

Compliance Profiles serve as the foundation for ensuring that the companies (Parties) you do business with are holding to the contract requirements previously agreed upon. A Compliance Profile is a set of requirements based on the contractual agreement between your business and the subcontractors you do business with.

Each Compliance Profile is made up of Modules. A Module is a section of the profile that allows your Compliance Profile to remain organized. Each Module consists of subsections called, Requirement Groups. Within each Requirement Group you will find all individual Requirements that have been pulled from the Contract.

Note: The best practice is to use the insurance requirements from the contracts or agreements you have with your third parties as the foundation for building out your complete Compliance Profiles.

Creating a New Compliance Profile

1 Within the Dropdown menu located on the left side of the screen, click Settings. Then, click Compliance Profiles.

2 Next, click the + New Profile button located at the top right of the screen.

3 In the Compliance Profile Name text box, edit/enter a specific name for your profile. It is a good common practice to title your Compliance Profile as specific as possible.

4 On the left hand side under Compliance Modules, be sure to select all of the relevant modules you'd like to have in your profile. Evidence of Insurance will always be selected as default. This is the section primarily used to track insurance requirements.

5 The selected Module(s) will appear in sections in the center of the page. Within each Module, toggle on (blue) or off (grey) the Requirement Group(s) to identify what exactly you are looking to track.

6 Once toggled on, you'll notice certain default Requirements will appear. You can edit or delete these by selecting the down arrow next to each Requirement.

7 To create Requirements within each Requirement Group, click the Add New Requirement option. Then, use the dropdown to select from the default choices or scroll to the bottom of the list and select + Add Custom Requirement to create your own requirements if the option you are looking for is not listed.

8 If the Requirement you're adding has a limit value, then select must be greater or equal to. To adjust your value, use the up and down arrows in the numbered text box or simply type it in. The up and down arrows will increase or decrease in increments of $1,000,000.

If the Requirement you're adding has no limit value, then select must be present. This will allow you to enter a free form requirement based on your contract and what you are looking to track.

9 To finalize adding a new Requirement, click the blue Add button.

10 Repeat steps 7-9 until you've added all of your desired Requirements under each Requirement Group within each Module.

11 You can adjust the order of any Module, Requirement Group, or Requirement by hovering to the left of it, then clicking and dragging the Requirement once your cursor turns into a hand.

12 Once your profile looks complete, click Create Compliance Profile at the top right to finalize the process.

Duplicating a Compliance Profile

The duplicating feature allows you to create an exact copy of an existing Compliance Profile. This can be useful in saving you time when creating multiple profiles that may have slight differences. Instead of starting from scratch each time, you can duplicate an already completed profile and then simply edit the clone with any necessary changes.

To duplicate, click on the 3 dots on the right and choose 'Duplicate profile'

For example, if you have multiple Compliance Profiles with the same base requirements, with minor exceptions, this would be a great time to utilize this. For example, you can have your Standard Compliance Profile but then have a Standard + Pollution Compliance Profile.

1 Using the dropdown menu located on the left side of the screen, click Settings. Then, click Compliance Profiles.

2 Next, click the Three dots icon located to the right of the specific profile you're looking to copy and choose 'Duplicate profile'

3 In the window that opens, enter the name you'd like to give the cloned Compliance Profile. This will be the name of the new Compliance Profile that you are creating.

4 Click the blue Duplicate profile button to complete the process.

Editing a Compliance Profile

The editing feature allows you to make changes to an existing Compliance Profile.

1 Using the dropdown menu located on the left side of the screen, click Settings. Then, click Compliance Profiles.

2 Next, click the Pencil Icon located to the right of the specific profile you're looking to make changes to.

3 Review Steps 3-11 from the Creating a New Compliance Profile section above to make any changes or additions to the profile.

4 Once done, click the blue Save Changes button at the top right to finalize the process.

Deleting a Compliance Profile

The Delete feature allows you to remove an existing Compliance Profile from an Organization within the TrustLayer platform.

NOTE: This action cannot be undone.

1 Using the dropdown menu located on the left side of the screen, click Settings. Then, click Compliance Profiles.

2 Next, click the Three dots located to the right of the specific profile you're looking to make changes to and select Delete

3 In the window that opens, click Yes to complete the process.
