Managing Waivers and Overrides Across Projects
Managing Waivers and Overrides Across Projects

Streamline compliance with requirement and subject waivers/overrides across projects, ensuring consistent application and easy updates.

Updated over a week ago

In an effort to enhance efficiency and streamline compliance management, we've introduced a new capability that allows users to apply waivers and overrides across existing and future projects with a single action.

This feature helps save time and ensures consistency, as you don't have to individually manage waivers/overrides for each project. It simplifies the process and reduces the risk of oversight or error.

Key Features:

  • Automatic Placement: Easily apply waivers and overrides to existing and future projects with a single action.

  • Intuitive User Interface: A straightforward checkbox within the waiver/override modal enables this feature.

  • Simplified Management: Remove waivers or overrides across projects with just a few clicks, ensuring compliance is up-to-date and accurate.

How to Apply Waivers and Overrides Across Projects

When you're in the modal, you'll have the option to decide whether to waive or override at the subject level or just for specific requirements.

Applying a Waiver or Override

  1. Access the Waiver/Override Modal: When waiving or overriding a requirement or subject, locate and open the relevant modal.

  2. Select Apply Across Projects: At the bottom of the modal, you'll find a checkbox labeled "Apply waiver across projects" or "Apply override across projects." Make sure to check this box to ensure your action applies across all projects.

Removing a Waiver or Override Across Projects

Regarding your needs and the actions you've previously taken, you can remove the "waive" and "override across projects" options as needed.

For Subjects:

  1. Access Subject Options: Click on the kebab icon (⋮) next to the subject to open the overflow menu.

  2. Choose to Remove: Select "Remove automatic waiver/override placement" from the menu.

  3. Confirm Removal: A confirmation modal will appear. Confirm your choice to remove the waiver or override across projects.

For Requirements:

  1. Access Requirement Options: Click on the kebab icon (⋮) next to the requirement to open the overflow menu.

  2. Choose to Remove: Select "Remove automatic waiver/override placement" from the menu.

  3. Confirm Removal: A confirmation modal will appear. Confirm your choice to remove the waiver or override across projects.

By following these steps, you can easily tailor waivers and overrides to fit your needs, whether it's for the entire subject matter or specific requirements within it. If you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to ask!
