Waive or Override Compliance Requirements

πŸ“Œ Issue/Question: How do I waive or override compliance requirements in the system?

Updated over a week ago

Quick Answer

βœ”οΈ You can waive or override a compliance requirement by selecting the three-dot menu next to the requirement and choosing either option, adding notes and an expiration date if needed.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Method 1: Waive or Override from the Party Screen

1️⃣ Go to the Party Screen – Click on the vendor or party and navigate to the Compliance tab.

2️⃣ Select the Requirement – Find the compliance requirement that needs to be waived or overridden.

3️⃣ Click on the Three Dots (β€’β€’β€’) – Next to the requirement, click the menu and select Waive or Override (both function the same, differing only in terminology).

4️⃣ Add Notes & Expiration Date (Optional) – Document why the decision was made and, if needed, set an expiration date for the waiver/override to automatically expire.

5️⃣ Apply Across All Projects (Optional) – If using the project feature, check the box to apply the waiver/override across all associated projects.

6️⃣ Save Changes – Your decision is now documented internally and visible within the requirement.

Method 2: Waive or Override During Document Review

1️⃣ Open a Document for Review – Navigate to the document you are reviewing.

2️⃣ Locate the Requirement – Identify a compliance requirement that is unnecessary for this document.

3️⃣ Click on the Three Dots (β€’β€’β€’) Next to the Requirement – Select Waive or Override based on preference.

4️⃣ Document the Decision – Add any necessary notes and an expiration date (if applicable).

5️⃣ Confirm the Waiver/Override – Click save, and the decision is now recorded.
